Ace is described as stocky and with dark curly hair. I slicked that hair back since Ace is pretty weaselly character and this makes him look harder than his buds. Like with all the changelings I made it so their forehead almost goes straight into the bridge of their nose. So that they are look slightly odd and close to the inhuman fairy look without going too far. Since the description for Ace is a bit sparse when it comes to his facial features I also dug up how his dad is described. So I gave him high cheek bones and a sharp nose.

Daily Dresden Drawings – Summer Knight Fix
Fix is a small skinny guy in a second hand suit. I did my best to have the suit be too big on him and have been patched up but still be stained here and there. Fix grows up to be more formidable and confident in later books, but he’s never described as handsome. So I I tired to make him look innocent and kinda goofy looking but have the general shape of his head be something that when hardened up later would look at least tougher. Since I’ve been have all the fairies foreheads go straight into the bridge of their nose I wanted Fix’s to almost do that. Fix’s hair is described as tufty so desided to make it stick up in places. This way he’ll be a complete contrast to his buddy Ace.
Daily Dresden Drawings – Summer Knight Mr Grumm
Mr. Grumm is described as looking like he comes for Thugs ‘R’ Us. He’s got a worn sweater and a bowler hat. Everything else about him says King Kong. I gave him big thick caveman eyebrows and large broken looking nose. He is basically every sterotype of a thug. That is until he turns into what he really looks like which is a troll.
Daily Dresden Drawings – Summer Knight Bob
Much like Mister, Bob doesn’t change from book to book. So here is a repeat of my Grave Peril image and here is a copy of my notes. Easiest Dresden Character to draw. Bob the Skull. I decided that the lights in his eyes would change shape and move to show his expressions and emotions. Other than that he’s just a Skull.
Daily Dresden Drawings – Summer Knight Mister
Mister’s appearance doesn’t change so this is the same image from my Grave Peril booklet. And here’s a repeat of my notes. He’s freakishly huge, thought to be part wild cat because of his size and tuffs on his ears. Based on that he’s probably a Maine Coon. That was easy enough to find reference for. They are big and puffy. Mister also has part of his tail missing, and I wanted to make sure the way it cuts off is sudden. And you know because he’s a cat he doesn’t care about anything.
