Esme, the witch in training, lives with her mentor in the northern village. I wanted her and her mentor’s house to stand out compared to the other homes. More organic looking. So the support beams are trees that have had the branches cut off. Not much straightening. Then put in a lot herbs and supplies for witch stuff hanging around.
Spike, Amanda, and I got a new episode of Dirty Old Ladies up! This time we talk about inspirations because we were asked where the line is between being inspired by and ripping something off comes in. I talk about TV shows most people don’t remember like Wolf Lake and the 10th Kingdom. And we discuss a surface inspiration and a thematic inspiration.
More You are the Chosen One art work. I wanted to have a good look for the throne room. Again the goddess from the church is in a stainglass window right behind the throne to symbolize they power in more ways than one. There are smaller chairs on either side of the throne so that the royal family is still above the regular court but not as high as the throne. Then to push the water imagery on either side of the throne are murals about the fish.

Persephone was about to start her second year of college, when she was tragically killed in a hit and run. Luckily, her eccentric med-student roommate found a way to “fix” her. She is now returned from the dead with only a few scars as to show for it.
In the first chapter, she learned she can now see the supernatural and agreed to help a young demon hunter, Abe. In this chapter, local vampire, Jack, wants to know more about Persephone because his powers don’t work on her.
