Spike, Amanda, and I got another episode of Dirty Old Ladies up. Spike goes over what she looks for in her submissions and pitches when acting as a publisher. Amanda and I talk about the coming at pitches and submissions from an artist stand point. I go over the difference in pitching a work-for-hire story on a property I don’t own vs a creator owned pitch.

During the book there is also an investigation scene that is in a poorer apartment. I wanted this to contrast Maria’s apartment a lot. Again space and what level the apartment is on are the two factors in apartments. So the poorest ones are gonna be small and have no windows since they don’t get light from outside much anyway.

And here’s just another view of her apartment. I wanted to show off how much of her kitchen was visible from the living room. It was mostly kinda a layout thing.

Inside Maria’s apartment, she has a lower level apartment going down slightly I thought would be more visually interesting than going start into the apartment. Since I do a lot of talking scene that height differences would just add variety.
