Swords meant to be used against armor will not be razor sharp.
They are playing tug of war and it is still a sword. You can successfully hold a sword blade and not get cut but only if you hold it a certain way. So inexperience mixed with struggle is making that hard.
The caption wondered how sharp it was. I was just speculating. 🙂
