So if you are one of the few people who have been following the to do list I’ve posted at the bottom of my news updates, you would have noticed a freelance project is at the top right now. I talked to the two writers I’m working with Javier Grillo-Marxuach and Kate Rorick and they gave me the go ahead to tell you about the project.

It’s called The Bolt! and is an Edwardian times superhero story. 

Here’s the main character Cameron. Or at least the starting design I made for him. He’s from a wealthy family and then turns to fighting crime. After turning in his design I got told to give him lighter hair, so for his superhero design below I made sure to make the proper adjustments. He’s using an electrical power glove as his main tool.

He is getting help from his scientist friend who is based of Tesla.

And besides all the crime fighting there is a bit of romance in the mix. Cameron is in the process of arranging a marriage with a lovely lady named Fushia. I wanted to give her a bit of a Disney princess look to go with Cameron’s heroic looks.

So I’m in the process of drawing a 16 page sample of the graphic novel. I will keep you all up to date as it continues.

Hey so about a month ago there was an awesome short animation getting tweeted and tumblr called The Reward. If you haven’t seen this fine piece of Indy animation here it is in full.

Now why I’m bringing it up now is because the animators of The Reward are now having a kickstarter to fund most animations of these fine travelers. So give it a look at maybe help make a cool indy series happen.
